CBF of North Carolina’s Welcome Ride is returning this year to raise awareness and funds for the Welcome House Community Network (WHCN)! From October 1-7, CBFNC Executive Coordinator Larry Hovis will cycle for seven days from the North Carolina mountains to the coast as part of the state-wide 2023 Cycle North Carolina ride. Building on our existing partnership with CBF field personnel, Marc and Kim Wyatt, in 2020, CBFNC established the Welcome Network as a signature missions program of CBFNC, with a goal to establish Welcome House ministries in every North Carolina city and town, providing a tangible expression of the call to love the stranger and to invite them into God’s beloved community as a neighbor. The money raised during Welcome Ride will be used by CBFNC to grow our ability to support and empower congregations across our state to engage in ministries of welcome in their communities.
"I truly believe the Welcome Network is transformative for our churches, our state and the Kingdom. That’s why I’m asking for your support of Welcome Ride 2023, as I ride 469 miles by bicycle, across our state, from the mountains to the coast," said Larry Hovis, CBFNC executive coordinator.
